Due to new regualtions from GEMA (the authority that collects royalties) it is now not allowed to show music videos of bands and singers under contract from German production companies. This block has affected many popular German bands inclusing Rammstein, 2Raumwohnung, Die fantastischen Vier, Peter Fox to name a few. The new Regulation may be brought to the coursts for reconsideration however for now the German fans may find it difficult to watch Rammstein Videos. Of course you can use us to check out some videos of your favorite band!
The rumors over the Tour participants are starting to come fast and furious. Besides our favorites Rammstein we have also heard that they are trying to get bands including Manowar, Slipknot, Motley Crue, Korn and Def Leppard for this years festival.
Download Festival Organizer Andy Copping has said: “We want to make sure we have the best headliners available and we’ll work down the bill from there. Limp Bizkit are in the mix, Korn are in the mix, Dream Theater are in the mix, Dragonforce…Def Leppard…these aren’t names being put out there for speculation, I am in talks with all of these artists. I’m in talks with Manowar. Manowar haven’t been to the UK since 1993, I believe, and I’d love to get Manowar on the bill.”
We’ve heard Rammstein, Slipknot and Motley Crue are in the mix too but these are just in the early stages of talk and much needs to be put together.
After seven weeks of intensive work in the studio Los Angles, German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN completed the first part of the recording sessions for their expected 2009 album on December 21, 2008. Mnay recordings of Drums, guitar, bass and some of the vocal tracks were laid down before the RAMMSTEIN bandmembers and producers took off for the Christmas and New Year's holiday. Work on the much anticipated Metal CD will resume in early 2009 for a tentative fall release.
We expect this CD to be one of the biggest and certainly most anticapted Metal albums of 2009. We can't wait to see how it goes.
RAMMSTEIN Officials have issued the following news release:
"Now that the band has officially finished pre-production in Berlin for its new album, Operation 'Album 6' is going forward full as planned. The Drummer Christoph Schneider arrived in Los Angeles last week to meet with Jacob Hellner to begin preparations for recording of all the drum tracks. Also to arrive in L.A. this week for the drum sessions, Paul Landers and Richard Kruspe. Finally, a studio has been rented near San Francisco for the bulk of the main recording work, and the band will go into retreat there for several weeks starting on November 9th, 2008.
RAMMSTEIN's last album, "Rosenrot", received its long-overdue U.S. release in March 2006. The record being recorded now will be the 2nd to ever be realeased in the United States. Rammstein has seen the popularity grow dramatically in the past few years in the U.S. and this album could put them over the top.
Finnish band APOCALYPTICA will began its North American tour on Monday (October 20) in Denver. The newest album by the group is "Worlds Collide", and has a new hit single "I Don't Care". The bands notes "We find it very exciting, you know," he said. "In Europe, we've been touring for 12 years now, and also South America and East Europe, Asia, and people know APOCALYPTICA pretty well there. But it's really cool to come into a kind of fresh market where, you know, every night in the show there's basically almost nobody who've seen APOCALYPTICA before. That's really, really loads of fun."
APOCALYPTICA's will be touring for about a month in North America endin up in Tempe, Arizona at the beginning of November (11/2)
"Worlds Collide" features a number of guest vocalists performing with the instrumental quartet, including SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor, LACUNA COIL singer Cristina Scabbia, RAMMSTEIN vocalist Til Lindemann and THREE DAYS GRACE frontman Adam Gontier, who sings on "I Don't Care".
